Production Updates
Product Update June 2010
Hello everyone!
At shot show 2010 last January we debuted our Kimber and Springfield 1911 and Smith & Wesson m&p prototype sights. We are now in the midst of manufacturing those sights and they should be ready to ship in about two months. The front sights are finished and the rear sights should be ready soon. We did have a rear sight design change that caused our shipping date to move forward a little.
Our “night sight” is looking good for a 2011 shot show debut. This night sight will involve a new concept in night sights and will not involve tritium’s or light charged crystals. All indications is that the sight picture will be clearer and brighter than tritium’s and, at the same time, will not kick back light on the shooter’s face in dark environments, as tritium’s can do. In addition, our night sight system is likely to be less expensive than any other night sight system currently on the market. Current owners of Advantage Tactical Sights will be able to upgrade their current ATS system with the new night sight system. As soon as we are patent pending, we will announce the technology.
We are starting a new page on our website. The “Customer Showcase” page will feature your particular firearm and color combo choice. Just send us a clear picture of your ATS adorned firearm showing your particular color combo, along with a short statement (optional) about the ATS and we will feature it on “Customer Showcase”. We will show your firearm and your statement, along with your first name and the state where you reside.
We have made a change to our rear sights. We are using roll pins, instead of the rear sight insert retention pin we have been using. A few customers complained that their insert retention pins drift during recoil. The roll pins won’t budge and will require a little more tapping to insert and remove them. Make sure your rear sight set screw is secure before tapping on the roll pin.
One last thing, we just started a brand new blog so that I may converse with you all about any aspect of the ATS. Visit te blog at blog.advantagetactical.com/.
