The Advantage Tactical Sight... Lightening Quick Sight Acquisition & Error Free Sight Alignment

The Advantage Tactical Sight (ATS) was developed to circumvent many of the problems associated with traditional iron sights.

The ATS maximizes:

1.) Quick target acquisition along with precision accuracy.
2.) Greater target area visibility.
3.) Greater sight visibility in most lighting situations.
4.) Ability to shoot with both eyes open.
5.) Ability to tune sight scheme to the eyes of the individual shooter.
6.) Sight adjustment without compromising sight strength.

SIGHT ALIGNMENT:

The front and rear sights of the ATS form a pyramid sight picture that covers less of the target than traditional sights. Simply place the point of the pyramid where bullet impact is to occur. The front to rear sight ratio is just right for optimizing sight alignment by allowing the shooter to precisely complete and hold the pyramid sight picture while concentrating on the pyramid point where bullet impact is to occur.

The geometry of the ATS and the front to rear size ratio optimizes accuracy with the pyramid configuration without compromising speed. There are some sights that are fast and some that are accurate. The ATS does both. Sight acquisition is very fast and long-range accuracy is extremely precise. For speed, simply throw a pyramid on the target and fire. For accurate shooting there is no guesswork with the ATS. Unlike traditional sights there is no need to estimate whether a front post is centered between a rear notch and flat across the top. With the ATS, one is either maintaining the pyramid shape throughout the shooting sequence or not.

COVERS LESS OF THE TARGET:

The ATS with its pyramid configuration, more than any other iron-sighted handgun sight, allows greater target area visibility.

A FULLY ADJUSTABLE SIGHT:

The ATS, unlike any other fixed handgun sight, can be adjusted for both elevation and windage. Once zeroed at the preferred range, the ATS can be locked down as securely as any fixed sight. Elevation adjustment is accomplished by WrenTech’s unique patent pending front sight shim system. Shims are added to lower bullet impact and removed to raise bullet impact. Drifting the rear sight in its dovetail and tightening the rear sight lock screw accomplish windage (right or left bullet impact) adjustment. The rear sight lock screw preserves the rear sight setting in extreme tactical situations.

COLOR ADJUSTABLE FOR PERSONAL PREFERENCE:

Both the front and rear sights of the ATS handgun-sighting system come with five distinctive and highly florescent interchangeable colored inserts. This patent pending insert changing system comes in red, yellow, orange, green and white inserts for both the front and rear sights to create a potential 25 different color combinations. These inserts are larger than those of other iron sights and are a magnet for ambient light. All five colors come with each sight set.

BIG COLORFUL AND EASY TO SEE:

The rear sight of the ATS expands the entire girth of the pistol slide while allowing room for windage adjustment and, at the same time, will not compromise tactical holster fit. Many who shoot with electronic sights have reported that with the ATS they can again shoot a handgun with iron sights.

LOW AMBIENT LIGHT:

The ATS is the most visible of any iron handgun sight in low ambient light where 75% of all tactical situations occur. The large florescent inserts of the ATS can be clearly seen and easily acquired in diminished ambient light where fiber optic sights cease to glow. In addition, in diminished ambient light, the ATS can be seen and quickly acquired where tritium “night sights” still need more darkened environments to clearly glow. The ATS inserts are not susceptible to the uneven lighting of light charged glow painted sights, the breakage associated with delicate fiber optics, or the loss of effective brightness of aging tritium sights.

QUICKER LEARNING CURVE FOR NEW AND EXPERIENCED SHOOTERS:

The ATS is quick to learn in comparison to traditional post and notch gun sights. New and experienced shooters are simply told to form a pyramid with the front and rear sights, place the pyramid point on the target and squeeze the trigger. Experience has demonstrated that military personnel, police and security officers can qualify more quickly and easily with the ATS. Competitive shooters in USPSA, IDPA, and other action shooting sports report better scores after acclimating to the ATS. Several action pistol shooters with impressive shooting resumes are now using the ATS.

POLICE OFFICERS MAKING NIGHT TIME STOPS:

The ATS is the most visible iron sight available when approaching a suspect’s car at night. With the lights of the patrol car behind the officer and as the officer approaches the suspect’s car, the ATS will stand out like a beacon. Tritium sights fade in this situation. In addition, the ATS remains highly visible when used in conjunction with gas masks and helmets.

SPECIALIZED SHOOTING SITUATIONS:

The ATS is the sight system of choice when special operations require shooting while wearing gas masks or under water. The expansive, bright and clear sight picture of the ATS provides for specialized shooting situations.
