Wrentech Industries, LLC was established to promote and manufacture innovative firearm related products. The Advantage Tactical Sight (ATS), the patented brain child of Wrentech’s president, Richard Nasef, was conceptualized to correct the disadvantages of more traditional iron sight arrangements. Mike Ballard, whose many firearm innovations are being used world wide, joined Wrentech and became vice-president and co-owner.

Both Richard Nasef and Mike Ballard have utilized their respective professional and shooting experiences in the development of this advanced and innovative sighting system. Richard, the California 1998 IDPA revolver champion, has been an active competitor in several action and other shooting competitions for a number of years. In addition, Richard is a practicing psychotherapist in both California and New Mexico. His interest in psychology, unconscious behavior, and how the brain learns led him to conceptualize the ATS. With practice, the ATS user becomes front sight oriented for increased speed and accuracy as rear sight alignment occurs peripherally and unconsciously, a natural consequence of acclimation to the ATS.

Mike Ballard’s firearm innovations and shooting accomplishments are almost too numerous to mention. Mike’s creativity, as director of research and development, was a large part of the product successes of two known firearms related companies. In addition, Mike is a competitor of note on the action pistol shooting scene. Mike was 1st place in the IDPA 1997 Revolver Steel Challenge; 1st place 1998 unclassified open NRA Bianchi Cup, 1st place 2000 revolver USPSA/Area II Golden Bullet Championship; 1st place “A” Open Southwest Regional Revolver Championship; 1st place 2004 “A” Limited Southwest Regional Revolver Championship; 1st place 2004 Limited Overall ICORE Annual Postal Match. Mike was also the president of ICORE from 1998 to 2001.

Mike has contributed his creativity and great technical skills to finalize the ATS designs that have led to advantages never before seen in iron sights.
